A Phenomenal Coffee Bean That Demands A Drink

I have a friend from San Francisco who recently moved out there a few years ago. He came back to visit over the holidays, and we began talking about coffee.

I had told him about a new coffee place by me that I said roasted the best beans I had ever had. At this point, he proceeded to correct me by saying that the best coffee beans he had ever had were in San Francisco, and that he was going to send me some of them.

These were so good in fact that he would have them delivered to his home. He couldn’t imagine drinking anything else at this point and he even craved it while he was away.

Naturally, I became curious and wanted to know if this coffee was in fact as good as he claimed. He was nice enough to mail me a package with a generous portion of coffee beans to share his favorite kind with me.

I have some really nice friends! He followed through on his word and mailed me a bag of Blue Bottle coffee beans, and I couldn’t wait to brew myself a cup.

He had even gone out of his way to crush the beans. Since I go out to buy my coffee hot, I don’t have a coffee maker at home and had no other way to make this.

Was it as good as he said it was? After reading many online reviews, I came to learn that he’s not the only person who absolutely loves this brand, so I was really excited.

While I’m not sure that it’s the best I’ve ever had, I’d place it in my top three. My number one is still the local establishment near my apartment, but anyone with a lack of good coffee around should definitely look into some Blue Bottle coffee.

The Best Cup Of Coffee I’ve Ever Had

I’m a New Yorker and I love my coffee. With so many options around, it’s easy to get caught up with one or two convenient places, overlooking some of the many great purveyors around.

Not too long ago, I discovered what has quickly become my favorite source for coffee in the city. While this may sound like a bit of a stretch, I mean it when I say that this could very well be the best cup of coffee in the entire city.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters is apparently a chain with roots in Seattle and Portland, along with a few California locations. They recently opened up a branch in New York, connected to a hotel (this hotel also has West Coast roots).

I can’t say which of the coffees happens to be my favorite. I might equally love them all, to be honest. What I do know is that patrons all seem to claim that everything there is top notch.

The prices are reasonable, and most comparable to those you’d find at Starbucks, but the coffee itself seems to be of a much higher grade. There’s also a nice early 20th century theme going on, as the baristas dress in traditional gear.

I’ve read reviews online after trying Stumptown’s coffee to see if others feel the same way that I do. What I found was that many Seattle residents swear by the chain, calling it the best coffee that Seattle has to offer.

In a city like Seattle, there’s so much great coffee. That’s one of the city’s claims to fame. If avid coffee drinkers are claiming that this is the best around, I’d say that’s a pretty high quality endorsement right there.

I don’t know if you’ll be able to get to a Stumptown, but if you can, I’d definitely suggest trying the coffee out. You’ll probably be hooked like I am. If you can’t get to one, make it a point to stop at one if you’re traveling.

My Newest Coffee Obsession

Living in a big city, I can choose from about ten different coffee makers within a few blocks of my apartment. This is a great thing that I definitely try to take advantage of.

Not too long ago, I discovered what has quickly become my favorite source for coffee in the city. While this may sound like a bit of a stretch, I mean it when I say that this could very well be the best cup of coffee in the entire city.

While Stumptown Coffee Roasters was formerly a coffee maker with a presence limited to the Pacific Northwest, the a personal move by the founder to the East coast has led to a New York presence.

It seems that everything on the menu may very well be great. I’ve heard others say this, and the theory has proved true thus far. The coffee is higher grade than anything you’ll find at Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts, and it’s hard for me to go back to those after trying Stumptown’s roast.

Interestingly enough, the prices aren’t much higher than those that you’d find at a Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts. This is a great thing when you consider the difference in the quality of the beans. One negative is the fact that they only accept cash, though I don’t know if that’s specific to the location I’ve been to.

Many share my love for Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and the brand has won numerous awards, not to mention the heaps of praise one could easily find for the coffee maker by searching for reviews online.

I’ve seen people on both the East coast and the West coast claiming that Stumptown brews the best coffee they’ve ever had. It’s rare to find a brand that wins such universal acclaim, especially in coffee cities like Seattle.

Make it a point to get to a Stumptown if you live in a city with a location. While there aren’t many of them, it’s worth the small trip if it requires a few extra minutes of your time.

Who Makes the Best Coffee?

People love their coffee. Some people can’t go through an entire day without it, and some people can’t go through half a day without it. Coffee provides an instant burst of energy for those who need it, and caffeine is a stimulant of the body and the mind.

Some people like to brew their coffee at home. Others simply rely on a diner or a coffee shop. Most Americans, however, choose one of two coffee giants. Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks have a grip on the American coffee market, and the presence of both brands seems to grow by the year.

Some people swear by Starbucks and some people swear by Dunkin Donuts. Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of each in order to determine whose is better.

Starbucks is our first subject here, and there’s no doubt in my mind that you’ve seen plenty of locations. It seems that they’re just about everywhere. Furthermore, they offer a lot more than just coffee these days.

Still, coffee is the brand’s strength and people pile up in droves to drink it. The biggest benefit to Starbucks coffee over Dunkin Donuts is the fact that their coffee packs more caffeine in it. If you’re looking for a big kick, this is the way to go.

Dunkin Donuts, on the other hand, offers less caffeine in its drinks. Some people prefer this, as they claim that Starbucks is simply too strong for them. People also seem to like the fact that Dunkin Donuts offers bigger cups of coffee for the same price.

Anyone who prefers a bigger drink would like this more. They also have more flavors available, with interesting ones springing up all the time.

Now that we’ve looked at the facts, you may be wondering which company offers better coffee? In taste tests, you might be interested to know that more people prefer Dunkin Donuts. However, you’re looking for caffeine and something a bit more gourmet, Starbucks might be your answer.
