There are so many things going on in the world. New technologies come out faster than I can blink. I feel as if the world is moving at a pace at which I can not possibly keep up. Sometimes, I get so bewildered that I miss the small things in life. One of those small things came in the form of blooming tea which I received as a gift.
Well, I went to the library and found out some interesting information. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I should have known some kind of information about this drink. I was being taught something new.
Apparently this has been an art form for the Chinese people for centuries. White tea leaves and green tea leaves are used along with blossoms from succulent flowers like: Hibiscus, Calendula and Marigold. The tea leaves are selected and wrapped around a bloom. The artisan actually stitches the leaves in such a way that this air-dries into what looks like a tiny enveloped, oblong ball.
You can purchase tea cups which are made of see-through glass or tea kettles which are also see-through glass to watch your art piece come to life. Simply take some boiling water and pour it over the blossom that you place inside the glass steeper. Let it sit for approximately three to five minutes. This depends on the strength of flavor you want in your drink.
She told me that the blossom in the packet was made by the Chinese people. They take White or Green Tea leaves and maneuver them around a flower. She said a few of the blooms they use are those you can consume such as: Chrysanthemum, Jasmine and Calendula. These people handcraft the tea leaves around the blooms and sew them in such a way that when you cover them with boiling water, they will bloom right before your eyes.
This is the reason for this glass kettle. You can see the tea brew right before you and see the blossoming of this beautiful craft. Another thing the sales lady shared with me was you can use this over and over. She said you can use the smaller ones in a cup from three to five times. The larger buds can be used for a more numerous amount of times depending on the strength or flavor you like in your tea.
The health advantages you receive from drinking tea are several. Green tea is a good fat burner. Green and white tea are good for your circulatory system. These teas have been known to help stave off some symptoms of arthritis. There are also claims about it helping to give you a longer life. One reason I enjoy drinking these teas are the headaches I get. The tea makes the pain much more bearable. I love what it does for me.
I do know that I enjoy having the best health I can especially because of the work I do. I do not want to feel that I can not make the next climb, or walk or run because I have not taken good care of my body. My work pays my bills. Why would anyone not want to do anything to make themselves feel better? You can add honey, lemon, raw sugar to your beverage. You do not have to drink it like I do. Be inventive but, remember to keep your body in good working order.
