Are you addicted to coffee and needed that to jump start your body? Many of us are doing all that we can to feel that boost of energy to do the things that we need to do. That is why there are caf stores that sprung up in cities that have lots of young professionals to keep them on their toes.

The number one ingredient in coffee that gives us that jolt of energy is the caffeine. Aside from coffee, there are foods that have caffeine content. Apples, soft drink, teas, chocolate bars, are those foods that have caffeine in them that people eat to get them by of their caffeine fix. They think that drinking coffee or taking in caffeine could substitute it for adrenal fatigue supplements, but the truth is, it would just worsen their stress.

Although it would give you that extra energy to be on the go, but it has its drawbacks. Fast heart palpitations and the tendency to not sleep during night could really give a big impact on your health. Some people stay away from coffee but instead they drink energy drinks, but don’t you know that those energy drinks have a high caffeine content that is why you can still feel the results of drinking coffee?

Obesity is also associated with caffeine and it could wake you up the entire night, thus disrupting your sleeping habit. It will also give you migraines and makes you lose your appetite. Since caffeine has the ability to keep you temporarily active and awake, you may tend to ignore the need to have sufficient rest and sleep. Caffeine may perk you up for a while but too much of it may affect your well-being in the long run.

Certainly too much of it could ruin your health. So, the solution is to decide to tone down the intake of coffee or caffeine to have a better lifestyle. Get enough sleep and nourish your body with healthy food and supplements. Isn’t this what our ancestors taught us since the beginning of time? Well, time to go back to the basics.
